About EMACS

E.M.A Computer Solutions Ltd. was established in 1995 by the 2 directors, Alan Hargreaves with 44 years of aftersales experience & Eric Hargreaves with 33 years of experience as a computer programmer/analyst.

The original DOS program was developed and tested at CD Bramalls in Wakefield where Alan was Aftersales Director and having received a confirmed order for 20 installations from the Lancaster/Polar motor group, Alan left Bramalls in 1996 to start and develop the windows version, and then working with other industry experts to develop the program further.

Eric joined the company full time the following year and from Alan & Eric working from home in the first 2 years, we now occupy premises in Dewsbury which has a purpose built sales/training & workshop facilities and the development is on-going!

To date, EMACS have been finalists in the Bodyshop Magazine Awards for Innovation in 2001, Product of the Year in 2003 & again in 2006. We have also won the ABP Club 'Night of Knights' awards for 'The Best Bodyshop Management System' for the last 3 years

EMACS has grown in size over the 14 years and we are now up to 14 members of staff. EMACS now have a comprehensive range of software for the bodyshop industry and are preferred partners for BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Citroën & Toyota with the EMACS time records been accepted by manufacturers for warranty audit purposes.
